A Movement to End Disinformation in the Church

Our mission is restore a culture of truth and integrity to the American Christian landscape.

Disinformation is a persistent problem in the church that damages our witness and diminishes our impact

Because of politics, interference by foreign actors, and a deluge of false information circulating digital media, Christian trust in disinformation has become a  moral imperative that damages our witness and hurts the appeal of the gospel. The American church needs to devote time, energy and resources to root out all forms of lies and false information in our institution. Jesus is the way, Jesus is the truth, and we must internalize this TRUTH if we are to be successful in spreading it.

Our Mission

Our mission is promote a culture of truth and integrity to American Christian culture. To stop bad actors leveraging Christianity to spread disinformation. To call out and stop those who would use their pulpits to leverage political power and influence. To eliminate the culture of spreading unvalidated news, doctrine and hear-say, where scriptures, sermons and prophesies are used to promote and spread political ideals and agendas.

The untold truth: There are also countless micro-fallacies, small but purposely misleading statements passed off as facts. These are not disagreements in theology, rather unbiblical opinions passed down through generations of hear-say and urban legends that stunt the growth of even well discerning believers. The goal of those who use disinformation is to erode confidence in public trust so they can gain wield power and influence by using false statements.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS

“You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness. You shall not fall in with the many to do evil, nor shall you bear witness in a lawsuit, siding with the many, so as to pervert justice,”
Exodus 23:1-2 ESV
“And the Lord said to me: “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, worthless divination, and the deceit of their own minds.”
Jeremiah 14:14 ESV
“You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.
Matthew 7:21-23
The time will come when people will not listen to sound doctrine, but will follow their own desires and will collect for themselves more and more teachers who will tell them what they are itching to hear. They will turn away from listening to the truth and give their attention to legends”
2 Timothy 4:3-4
Now there were false prophets among the people, just as there also will be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies and even deny the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many people will follow their immoral ways, and because of them the way of truth will be maligned.[ In their greed they will exploit you with deceptive words.
2 Peter 2:1-3
How is it you don’t understand that I was not talking to you about bread? But be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” 12 Then they understood that he was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Matthew 16:11-12
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles?
Matthew 7:15-16
5 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.
Ephesians 4:25
One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.
Luke 16:10 ESV
